The future for Advanced Biochar Production
A carbon-rich substance that some experts tout as the key to soil rejuvenation. Relatively light-weight and porous, biochar charcoal can act like a sponge and serve as a habitat for many beneficial soil microorganisms that are known to promote soil and plant health.
The heat could be used to heat water or a liquid that could in turn be stored as hot water in large insulated tanks and used for commercial purposes or used with a heat exchanger to heat buildings. The alternative is it can be turned into steam/vapour which could then drive a turbine to produce electricity on site.
Synthesis gas or syngas, which is composed mainly of H2 and CO, can be applied for various downstream processes, e.g., electricity generation or chemical production. The conversion of biomass by creating biochar is recognized as an environmental-friendly technique as it is carbon-neutral
Our biochar reactor units have a primary design function of producing biochar. But while creating biochar we can harvest energy in the form of heat (steam and hot water) and Syngas. This category of biochar production unit can be suitable for clean, healthy, distributed biochar and energy production of by home owners and land owners; “backyard” producers utilizing yard waste; large and urban farmers; nurseries; communal gardens; municipalities and governments to convert any cellulose based waste materials available to them.
